9.30am report: Just called dad and he was in meeting with Dr. Seidel. Dr. Seidel mentioned that dad’s Hemoglobin, yesterday, was a 8 so holding steady. He did mention that a hormone that is produced by the kidneys, Erythropoietin, promotes the formation of red blood cells by the bone marrow. The kidney cells that make erythropoietin are sensitive to low oxygen levels in the blood that travels through the kidneys. There fore, the stress of the kidneys, as caused by COVID-19 may have something to do with the lower hemoglobin levels that dad is experiencing. He is still recovering and they feel this will correct itself in time. Based on some sharp pain that dad is experiencing in early evening hours, they do feel that the Ulcer is still in his stomach region, and may or may not have a tiny bleed, however will continue to be treated with oral medication. With regard to the positive COVID-19 test, it is as expected. He did have a severe case and it will take some time for viral particles to clear out of his system - they say as long as 40 days. We are at day 35 since the original test.

Finally found some toilet paper online. The shortage made it extremely hard to come across...
